Inspired by the many cigars smoked in his garage, Ricky Rodriguez designed CAO Session to be the ideal cigar for any occasion – and any cigar smoker.

Creating cigars with unique tobacco. And so a few years ago, when we heard a story about a photographer taking photos of tobacco farmers around the world, it naturally piqued our interest.

She had been in Brazil, the story went, taking shots of the tobacco for CAO Brazilia, when one of the farmers told her that to find some really unique leaves, she should journey into the Amazon. 

So she did. And there, in the heart of the rainforest, she found a rare, small batch of tobacco called ‘Braganca’.

When we got a sample of it, we knew we had to build a cigar around it -- a cigar that would become Amazon Basin.

 Inspired by hot rods and pin-up girls, CAO Flathead is a box pressed collection that hits on all cylinders. Hand-shaped to deliver a striking flat top, the cigar features a brawny Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and a blend that’s heavy on Nicaraguan leaf. Its frontmarks are named for engine parts, but the tribute to muscle cars doesn’t end there. Flathead gives a nod to the muscle car engine, with a lid that’s easily removed and used as wall art. There’s also a collectible, pin-up girl flysheet that’s enclosed in the box.

If you like maduro wrappers, then you’ll love CAO Mx2. It has, well, two of them: a well-fermented Connecticut Broadleaf and a spicy Brazilian, which is used as the binder. The rest of this cigar’s sweet and zesty flavor comes from its superb blend of tobaccos harvested in Nicaragua, Honduras, the Dominican Republic and Peru.
